Notable Alumni:

David Schwimmer: Actor, director, and producer. Best known for his roles as Ross Geller in the hit sit-com Friends and more recently as Robert Kardashian in American Crime Story.

Warren Beatty: An actor and filmmaker, who has been nominated for fourteen Academy Awards. Beatty was also awarded the Academy’s highest honor, the Irving G. Thalberg award in 1999. He is best known for his titular role in Bonnie and Clyde and his role as John Reed in (as well as his positions as co-writer, producer and director of) Reds.

Richard Kind: An actor and voice actor known for his roles in the sitcoms Mad About You and Spin City, but also for his more recent role as the voice of Bing Bong in the Pixar film, Inside Out.

Sheldon Harnick: An American lyricist best known for collaborating with the composer Jerry Bock on the hit musicals Fiorello!, She Loves Me, and perhaps the most famous, Fiddler on the Roof.

Keith Dworkin: A director who is known for his musical direction for his production of Urinetown, for which he was the 2006 William Daniels Award recipient, as well as his co-adaption of Rogers and Hart’s The Boys From Syracuse with Northwestern Professor, David Bell.

Ardis Krainik: An American mezzo-soprano opera singer who was the general director of the Lyric Opera of Chicago for 15 years. In 1996, she received the Chicago History Museum "Making History Award" for Distinction in the Performing Arts.

Kate Shindle: An American actress, singer, dancer, and AIDS activist. Crowned Miss America in 1998, she also went on to star in numerous touring and broadway productions in plays such as Caberet, Jekyll and Hyde, Legally Blonde, and Wonderland.
